The Bayview Yacht Racing Association (BYRA) is both a dinghy racing and yacht club based on Pittwater, in Sydney’s northern beaches. We offer some of the best water access and sailing conditions in Sydney.

The club boasts a proud history of producing state, national and world champions and is a friendly family club with a strong sense of community.

Our clubhouse is located 1842 Pittwater Rd, an enviable location on the shores of Bayview looking north up Pittwater and fronting a sandy beach with direct road access to the club and rigging areas.

We have storage space for some types of boats. Rigging space is available on safe grassy areas next to the clubhouse and on the club’s own rigging deck. Positioned on the water rigging your boat and launching is straightforward, (high tide it’s straight on to the water, low tide, soft sand), the sheltered open waters of Pittwater are in front of you. The clubhouse has all facilities including an upper deck with BBQ and a superb view down to Lion Island at Broken Bay.

Whilst many BYRA members are racers there is a growing section of sailors who just want to explore Pittwater. They enjoy being on the water with just the wind and nature.
