Performance Dinghy Training : Unique to BYRA

BYRA offers an intermediate pathway to foiling for all dinghy sailors to get them ready to foil.

‘Nikki’ has been selected as the preferred single-handed, lightweight, high performance winged dinghy which provides a natural transition from Opti, Sabot, Open Skiff (Bic) and Pittwater Junior (PJ) introductory trainers.

3 Saturdays:3rd & 17th & 24th June
6 hours total of 3 sessions of 2 hours each.

This course is aimed at those who wish to build their skills and develop racing techniques in an exciting, fast, winged planing dinghy as part of their personal development pathway, before progressing to full foiling.

Non-members BYRA cost $280 – covers access to a boat, on water coach boat and trainer.
BYRA Members cost - $220
Members with own boat - $120

Course Outcome

The course aims to develop skills and knowledge in the following areas: Fundamental high-performance sailing skills: Tacking, gybing, capsize recovery, upwind and downwind sailing etc, as a pre-cursor to the Foiling Academy Program

Pending your success, you will gain a BYRA Performance Dinghy qualification.
