FUN

Our program is designed for maximum fun while kids develop their sailing skills. Intended for graduates of Start Sailing 1. 

  

CONVENIENT

Enjoy a no-stress Sunday! Easy to park. We offer flexible sessions from as little as one-hour duration. After your class, enjoy BYRA's range of aquatic fun such as SUP's, kayaks and more.
 

SAFE

We benefit from a safe, sheltered and shallows area perfect for those just beginning their sailing journey.

Includes all equipment and welcome pack. No need to buy a boat to try sailing - it's all included at BYRA
 

Sailing is fun for all the family. Our innovative program includes:

  • A games-based program that will develop a love of being on our beautiful water playground - Pittwater!
  • Suitable for those who have completed Start Sailing one or who equivalent experience

  • At this beginning stage, kids benefit from our fun lessons, and appropriate time on the water that is long enough to learn but not too long, so they get overwhelmed or cold etc

Course Overview
This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own. 

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate. 

 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
